On November 9-10, the Scientific and Practical Interregional Conference "Mechanical Circulatory Support in High-Risk Percutaneous Coronary Interventions" was held on the site of the Research Institute of Cardiology of Tomsk National Research Medical Center

Mini-invasive surgical methods of treatment of patients with severe coronary artery disease (patients with high surgical risk) using percutaneous mechanical circulatory support devices became the key topic of the experts' discussion.

Leading Russian specialists in the field of endovascular diagnostics and treatment, anesthesiologists-reanimatologists, cardiologists from Moscow, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Krasnoyarsk, Tyumen, Kemerovo, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Naberezhnye Chelny, Cheboksary, Germany and the USA took part in the conference as speakers and moderators. During two days the event was attended by about 150 people in person and 50 people connected to the online broadcast.

The culminating part of the conference was a live broadcast from the operating room of the Institute's X-ray endovascular surgery laboratory: two complex clinical cases of percutaneous coronary artery surgery using mechanical circulatory support on the Ex-Stream device were demonstrated to the conference participants.
